Welcome to the Autism Society of Wisconsin!

No matter who you are or where you live in Wisconsin, you belong here. Together, we are building a statewide home rooted in acceptance, support, and connection — a place where all are welcome.

We are excited to share an important announcement:

The Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin and the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin are coming together to form one statewide organization — the Autism Society of Wisconsin.

This partnership allows us to strengthen our impact by sharing resources, expanding support, and amplifying advocacy for autistic individuals and their families across the state.

What This Means for You

  • First and most importantly, the support, programs, and people you rely on are not going away.
  • Programs offered by both organizations will remain the same
  • Staff will remain the same
  • Current groups, chapters, and local communities will continue
  • Madison-area programs will continue under the name Autism Society of Wisconsin – Madison

Our new statewide structure includes a home office that coordinates programs, advocacy, and outreach while continuing to build and support strong local Autism communities. Local groups will keep offering the social groups, support groups, and meaningful connections you value—right where you live.

This new structure also strengthens our ability to grow and expand groups and programs across the state. With better coordination and support, we can reach more people and help even more communities connect in meaningful ways. Most importantly, it enables us to expand into underserved areas so more communities can access support, build new groups, and create lasting connections.

Supporting People Where They Live

By coming together, we are creating a stronger, more connected Wisconsin — a statewide community of belonging where every voice matters, every person is supported, and local connections remain at the heart of our work.

Thank you for being part of this community. We’re honored to move forward together and look forward to what’s ahead.
