What is changing?
The Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin and the Autism Society of South Central Wisconsin are coming together to form one statewide organization: the Autism Society of Wisconsin. This new structure allows us to better connect, support, and advocate for the autism community across the entire state.
Why are the organizations merging?
We are merging to create a stronger, more connected statewide network. By coming together, we can share resources, expand access to support, strengthen advocacy, and ensure that no matter where you live in Wisconsin, you have a place to belong.

Are programs or services going away?
No. The programs, support, and services you rely on are not going away. In fact, this merger allows us to strengthen and grow what we offer over time.
Will local Autism Society chapters and groups still exist?
Yes. Local Autism Society chapters and groups remain at the heart of our work. These communities will continue to offer social groups, support groups, and opportunities for connection, with added support from our statewide home office.
With our new structure, we can more efficiently and consistently expand support to underserved areas of the state, ensuring that individuals and families across Wisconsin have access to meaningful connection, resources, and community—no matter where they live.
Will the staff I know still be here?
Yes. The dedicated staff you know and trust are staying. Our team will continue serving the autism community, now working together through a coordinated home office while partnering closely with local communities across the state.

The home office coordinates statewide programs, advocacy, outreach, and partnerships. Its role is to support and strengthen local communities, not replace them.
